Sziget 360

The Sziget festival in Budapest (HU) is one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe. The festival takes place on Óbudai-sziget, a 108 hectares island on the Danube. There are more than 1.000 performances, attracting an audience of around 380.000 each year.

Fellow panorama photographer and friend Andras Frenyo invited me to join his team shooting panoramas in 2005. Since then the Sziget festival has been an annual event for me. It has become a part of the year I really look forward to.

Since my first panoramas in 2005 I have shot more than 100 panoramas for the site. From that same year on, I have been assisting Andras with panorama viewers. Before the project was reborn as Sziget360.com, the yearly sites offered my SPi-V viewer as an option. In 2009 Sziget360.com was the first site to use the CuTy player I developed to display Quicktime VR panoramas using Flash.
