Lights on Pictura

Teekengenootschap Pictura was established in 1774 by a number of prominent artists from Dordrecht. Nowadays the society sustains an independent exhibition space where members and non-members exhibit on an invitation basis.

When I was given the chance to do a short solo exhibition of my projection work at Pictura, needless to say I jumped at the opportunity. With only two weeks to plan and construct four projection installations, it was an overwhelming experience.

Sponsored by Do Not X-Ray

The exhibition at Pictura would not have been possible without the generous support of Jeroen Degenaar of Do Not X-Ray who provided so much more than just projectors for the exhibition.

A room with a View

I was invited for a short exhibition in a series of exhibitions titled "Exploring Pictura". For my main installation, I chose to use my projection techniques not just to show some of my panoramic photography in an interesting way, but to make the actual walls of the exhibition space the subject of the exhibition. Using a spherical mirror and two projectors I created a 360° panoramic projection.
