Re: This application requires shockwave 10

Place SPi-V.dcr in the same folder as Spotter.exe.
What is Viewer.exe?

Re: This application requires shockwave 10

It's somewhat weird that you are getting this error. Is your computer connected to the internet when you get that error? Do you have anything that could be blocking internet access running (firewall, 'internet security' apps)?

Shockwave 11 for Windows should automatically start downloading the parts of Shockwave 10 it needs to run Shockwave 10 content.

Re: This application requires shockwave 10

Just downloaded Spotter to a fresh XP install and tried to run spotter.exe:
This application requires Shockwave 10 which is not installed. Click OK to download it.

Which takes me to this page:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/?P1_Prod_Version=SWArchive10.1.0

Which is supposed to be:
Shockwave 10.2.0.023

The "Download Now" link is:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/shockwave/default/english/win95nt/1...

Which when executed states:
Congratulations! You have successfully installed the Adobe Shockwave Player 11.

And spotter.exe still doesn't work...

I had to uninstall Shockwave 11 with:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/shockwave/uninstall/win/sw_uninstal...

And download and install:
http://www.oldapps.com/download.php?oldappsid=Shockwave_Installer_Slim_1...

Which then downloaded the additional packages it needed...

I was able to get spotter running this way... this is such an excellent app - please, any idea how to get it working without going to older versions of Shockwave?

Re: This application requires shockwave 10

If you install Shockwave 11 (on a clean system), and you encounter a piece of Shockwave that is not specifically created for Shockwave 11 online, Shockwave 10 should be automatically downloaded in the background. I must admit I don't know if the same is true for Shockwave projectors (apparently not?).
