Spotter 1.1 beta

Changelog:
  • (optionally) shows a list of scene nodes in the current XML file for easy navigation during authoring.
  • Open... moved to a proper menu
  • Adds menu options to show/hide coordinates, scenelist and crosshair
  • Fixes a bug with certain newer Shockwave versions that would make the ui unresponsive

Re: Spotter application

I do not understand how it works?
What should I do in the right panel?
I opened a jpg and also xml file and I saw a scene 1....no more.....
Please write more about new Spooter.

scene list

I just realised that the previous release of the spotter utility did not have the scenelist yet. The pane on the right lists the (ids of) scenes in the current XML. This is meant for easy navigation between scenes during the authoring of a tour.

When I start with a tour, I first create an XML file that has all the 'bare' panoramas (no hotspots, no map). This scenelist helps me navigating this bare tour, spotting hotspot coordinates and target views.

Since your comment, I have uploaded yet another version of the Spotter tool, mainly improving the ui. This time, the scenelist is hidden when there's only one scene.

Re: scene list

Aldo,
I see the difference now.
New menu is better.
New Spotter needs Xtras folder! The previous versions didn't need Xtras. Is it ok?
I see this is the first step to create WYSYWIG editor for SPi-V. Am I right?
Good luck in all you do!!!

Re: Spotter application

Hello

New spotter is really good, especially loading tour option, but I would like to have a one option more - loading of the hotspot file instead of crosshair or with crosshair, to see how exactly hotspot will look in the scene. (Of course there would be the need of specifying the size attributes - hfov)
