i like it!
put up an old (http://www.cantonsquare.com) pano with zoom to be viewed through spiv (http://www.360.hu/shocked/zoom.html).
(don't expect much. it's out of my ole cp990 and highly compressed for the java viewer - until i find the original images from many years ago.)
i wonder if the zoom limits somehow interfere with the default view params, 'cause i just can't get them work. (or do i have a typo somewhere?)

. . . and here's onw with two
. . . and here's onw with two spots, but i am not sure if the xml is correct (http://www.360.hu/shocked/zoom_2.html). also, this zoom is very far.
there's a bit of unwanted ping-pong effect, which i thought to be able to solve by setting the zoom param slightly higher than the minFOV, at least it worked with the first spot with greater differences in value. not on this one.
what would be the way to be able to zoom more?
Looking good
I'll look in to the why the zoom isn't going further than it is, as well as the jittery pingpong effect. May very well be related.
I think it has a lot to do with the huge zoom ratio; there's only a very tiny bit in the panorama that has a different metering value. It would be great if you had one or more intermediar steps (but since it is old material, you probably don't have that).
