Aldo's comments:
I came across Mika's website by accident. The first thing that impressed me besides the nice panoramic images was the customised toolbar Mika uses in to show his work, but I soon found out there was so much more...
Though others have already taken the Hirshhorn demo and adapted it creatively, in his 'Apartment of Kilonportti' Mika has taken the virtual tour with map to a next level. Notice how the map is enlarged when you hover the mouse over the map.
The 'Wedding at the Espoo Cathedral' is an impressive piece of time lapse photography work. Not only are the elements inserted seamlessly into the scene, but the action is all around you. This makes me really want to add sound capabilities to SPi-V.

The wedding *is* awesome! Very cool...
One thing -- I don't see any animated menus/toolbars in the others?
P!
Check out the last one
Be sure to check out the last example, titled 'Apartment of Kilonportti'. It has a map in the lower right corner. If you hover over the map, a larger version will appear. Having said that, there's a bug in Safari (...) that may require you to click the map instead of hovering.

Hi Aldo, Cheathamlane and all others!
I'm just backtracking how visitors find my site. It's nice to notice that all that effort for creating my site in multilanguage wasn't pointless.

Surely you see those arrow icons (for panning & tilting & fov management) in every panorama at my site? I just haven't find time and/or motivation to adapt some universal direction arrow to other panoramas than that apartment presentation. I think it's pointless to make some nice animation etc if it doesn't help the user some way.

Ha, not at all! That's why my qtvr spincontroller is multilanguage, too... Now, if only I was multilanguage (as opposed to 1.75). ;-)

OK, in both Safari and Firefox on Mac, OS X 10.3.9: When I couldn't see the map, my browser page was almost fullscreen. When I resize the window to about 1/2 or 3/4, all of a sudden the map and SPi-V's default screen appear. Then everything works like I think it should.
When I resize the window to be larger, the map & SPi-V screen disappear.
(my machine is a dual 1.8, with 3GB RAM)

Ah, THAT bug...
That's a SPi-V bug, affecting some machines (notably, you guessed it, macs :-( ) at certain display widths, that was fixed in SPi-V 1.2.14.
Mika, got time to update?

Now I have updated my panoramas to to use 1.2.14d.
Hmm. This message board uses some kind of notifying system, but do you have some kind of SPi-V newslist where I can join to get information about latest releases or so?
For the time being...
Site is undergoing some subtle changes, but for the time being you can use this RSS feed:

Edit: That would be http://fieldofview.nl/spv-dev/releases/engine in human readable form...
